Already in 1576 the Oratory of San Rocco stood in the centre of the village of Capannori ; its long presence along the Francigena is testament to the common devotion of the Lucca community and the pilgrims to the French saint. The structure, in its current form, is the result of conspicuous interventions and renovations. Its namesake is celebrated in August.
