The current building dates back to 1801 and preserves on its façade two romanesque zoomorphic panels. In the modern interior you can find, at the entrance, the baptismal fount (1509), a work of Sienese manufacturing, decorated with the coats of arms of the community of Abbadia and of the Piccolomini family. In the raised Presbytery area two paintings from the beginning of the 17th century are preserved: to the left the Madonna with Child and the Saints of the school of Giovanni Paolo Pisani and to the left a Pietà and Saints, attributed to Sebastiano Folli from Siena.
