The icon of the Madonna delle Grazie, venerated in the Massa sanctuary of the same name, is housed by the main altar. It depicts the Virgin Mary dressed in pink with a white cloak and holding the Baby Jesus in her arms. The veneration dates to 1684, when a group of children and teenagers discovered the painting that was immediately deemed prodigious in the dense woodland of Volpignano.
