Lucca's suburban parish of Sant'Anna celebrates its patron saint every year. At the heart of the event is evening Mass on the 26 July, at the end of which a procession winds its way through the streets of the district, bearing an image of the saint and accompanied by the parish's bells, sounded by the local groups of bellringers.
