The community of Aulla commemorates San Severo, albeit to a lesser extent than its patron saint, on the first Saturday of September, the period of the year in which the saint's remains were brought to Aulla in 1665. During the day the historic centre is jollified by a traditional fair, and in the evening a procession leaves from the Abbey of San Caprasio and arrives at Porta Sarzanese, the original resting place of the holy relics. Returning to the Abbey, the celebrations conclude with a solemn blessing.
