The celebrations of San Marziale, patron saint of Colle di Val d'Elsa, comprise a procession on 30 June and liturgical rituals on the 1 July, which include the blessing of the river Elsa. Alongside the spiritual ceremonies there are outdoor entertainments, food and drink stalls, and a concluding firework display.
