The festival of San Luigi Gonzaga, patron saint of the hamlet of Ripa, gets lively at 9pm on 20 June when a procession starts moving through the specially illuminated streets, bearing the saint's image. The next day sees various religious celebrations take place in the parish, along with an all-day fair in the village's streets and piazzas. There is an energetic collision of history and culture, not least with the festival of the Contrada La Lucertola.
