From the shop inside the sanctuary, you can access a room where there are glass shrines containing ceramic vases, which for many years have contained the oil for the votive lamp. This oil is offered by the Italian municipalities or by the various associations which have come in succession to the festivals, first national associations then international associations, to pay their respects to Saint Catherine, patron saint of Italy and Europe. You can admire the beautiful artistic urns collected here and decorated in diverse styles. These urns make up a precious collection of unique pieces, made deliberately for the occasion of the festivals, and a collection of medals, which testify to the devotion and the worship, both in Italy and abroad, displayed to Saint Catherine of Siena.
