The hostel, which has always offered accommodation, was converted into a hostel in 2008 for pilgrims walking the Via Francigena.
Back when the current Casa del Pellegrino was the village rectory there was a room used to accommodate walkers. A description of the house in its present-day form was found in the 19th-century land register: it was built over two floors with a large central hall and four side rooms. Apart from some adjustments and changes to the flooring, the house still bears its original appearance.
